25K Dead Bees Fall From Trees in Oregon
Right in a Target parking lot, 25,000 bees fell to the ground almost at once. Estimated at 150 colonies, these bumblebees are the the single most important natural pollinator in Oregon. Tests won’t be black for a few days but apparently Saturday pesticides were sprayed in the trees. The pesticide used, Safari, warns it is highly toxic for bees and to not use while they are around. The sudden death of bees is happening over and over, just like in Florida where thousands of bees died and the culprit keeps seeming to be pesticides.
